Hello! I’m Justyna, a wife, a mother to one, who calls Colorado home. This sun kissed state, full of life, provides plenty of inspiration. I’m drawn to the emotive, soulful, painterly, timeless frames of everyday. It’s the creative outlet that is my passion. My only prop for the photographs is LIGHT. What are you drawn to? What is your passion? What is your beautiful story?

For me, this is only worth doing if it continues to be my passion. Because of that I gravitate toward the things that fire me up: nature, natural light, and beautiful people who are looking for something a little different.

When and Why did you start your business?

My photography love started with film, when I was just a child, chasing my brother with his gear. I used to spend hours in his darkroom asking questions, admiring him. Every time he pulled out a roll of Fuji film with creamy, vivid colors… my heart was in awe. I remember they were so expensive to purchase and when he shot he took his time. Every frame had to be just right. The moments he painted were just “our” memories… timeless frames that still live in our hearts to this day.
Therefore, “looks like film” is the look I crave when I create.
But it wasn’t until I started teaching art, emerging my mind and soul in painting workshops, I have realized I wanted to refer to my own photographs when I paint. Well, it did not work out like that, but I fell in love with “painting with light.” When I look through a viewfinder… I see a story. The thrill in the give and take that demands of loss of control when using Lensbaby gear, the unanticipated results of freelensing, the light, the colors, the spontaneity as a continuous immersion of my paintings.” I started to document weddings couple years ago….fell in love with the moments and love of your big day.

What or Who inspires you?

What inspires me? Oh my, so many things. From a student holding a paintbrush in a unique way, from details around us like a hummingbird scouts the new location, my couples…that are so fiercely in love and their connection. Sometimes is nothing more than just the wind, poetry, art. I have always loved watercolors and my painterly frames usually are inspired by watercolor artists!
Also, Lensbaby gear, I love shooting with it! Lensbaby allows me to express my authenticity. It allows me to express my painterly vision. It takes me to a magical world by creating dreamy, emotive, and timeless frames. The blur, the movement, the perfect “imperfections” are the elements I absolutely love!

Do you have any advice for newly engaged couples?

Marriage is a journey…not a destination and It is so worth every second ❤ what a heaven of a ride….always date your hubby!

What is one of your guilty pleasures?

I absolutely love my coffee time…I drink it all day long!

What is one thing newly engaged couples should know about your service?

I blink my eyes open each morning and I crave the warmth of the sun against my face. I bloom best when I allow the wind to carry me where I was always intended to paint YOUR story. I am a light chaser and a story listener. When I look through the lens…I look for emotions within your details: the way he looks at you, the way he plays with your hair, the way you laugh. Light flares, movement, selective focus for me that’s where it’s at. The joy and fulfillment I receive in storytelling the moments of YOUR lives compares to nothing else. Because of that I gravitate toward the things that fire me up: nature, natural light, and beautiful people who are looking for something a little different.

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

My favorite part of the wedding would be getting ready frames…the moments when you take a first look of your love, the laughter…YOUR STORY behind the scenes…the expressions you make when you look into each others eyes, the connection between you two, and your timeless LOVE.
