Who are your clients?
My clients are joyful couples and families that love the outdoors.
When and Why did you start your business?
I started my business about 5 years ago. I started out working as a photographer in 2006 doing portraits and events. Part way through I took a little break and realized that I really missed shooting. I found I was great with people and project management and felt like I could really offer something of value to the world. So I started my own company and at the time my focus was more sports and outdoor lifestyle because I really enjoy that stuff. But then I ended up shooting a wedding for a friend of mine as a favor about 3 1/2 years ago and totally fell in love with weddings! After that I decided to shift my focus to weddings and never looked back.
What or Who inspires you?
Love and connection. Travel, nature and wild places.
Do you have any advice for newly engaged couples?
Find that balance of choosing things for your wedding that are meaningful to you and that also allow you to incorporate those people who you want to be there in the celebration. My husband and I thought about doing our wedding in Yosemite which we love and having an outdoor reception in the open space. We decided against it because we wanted my 90 year old grandma to be part of it and we knew making her use a port a potty and hiking to a location was probably a little too much to ask.
What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Salt and vinegar potato chips.
What is one thing newly engaged couples should know about your service?
With me, you’ll receive beautiful romantic images of you and your fiance as well as a ton of memorable candids of your family and friends. My focus is a to a be a guide helping you look your best and making your day easier in any way I can.
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
The moment right after the ceremony after the couple is pronounced husband and wife and they walk back down the aisle. There’s always so much joy in that moment and I love capturing it.
Anything else you want to add
I’m excited to be part of the group and am looking forward to getting to know everyone better!
